Feature Recognition for Manufacturing Automation in Unigraphics NX CAM
Unigraphics NX is widely used in many industries, including automotive and aerospace. NX supports a wide range of CAD/CAM processes including NC operations planning, programming, post processing, and shop floor documentation. It also provides resource libraries, and NC data management tools that automate various interrelated tasks of the manufacturing process.

Problem regarding the dimension transfer from sketch in modeling to drafting
In turned parts there is a problem regarding the dimension transfer from sketch in modeling to drafting. The problem is that the dimensions are from the centerline to the perimeter and not the diameter dimensions that we want for drafting.

New Printing and Plotting in NX 3
NX 3 will provide users with a state-of-the-art printing and plotting system. The new system will replace the old one, at no cost to customers. This new and modern system will provide users with new flexibility and control through a comprehensive user interface, and provide many new capabilities. Nearly 300 Enhancement Requests (ER) have been resolved and fulfilled as a result. These include numerous requests for color and width controls, and more flexibility for the end user.

Simulation Process Studio – An Introduction
The Simulation Process Studio (SPS) is a new product being offered with UGS NX 3 Simulation. It enables users of all levels to automate best practices to support their workload and processes, and to let advanced users build custom wizards that can help less experienced users and even non specialists use simulation. Simulation Process Studio is not just for simulation; authors have access to the entire product set and can integrate knowledge fusion capabilities and interface icons from the entire NX product family. Fully supported by teamcenter, solutions can be managed enabling specific users to use specific tools and ensuring that the correct release is used at all times.

New Release of Teamcenter Requirements Integrates Systems Engineering with the Product Lifecycle
July’s release of Teamcenter Requirements marks an industry first – the integration of requirements/systems engineering with lifecycle information management – for enterprise-wide requirements traceability throughout a product’s lifecycle.

Teamcenter Visualization: A “View” Into Your Product’s Lifecycle
The lifecycle of a product goes through many phases, all of which have been traditionally difficult to visualize. Throw in the complexities of multiple tiers of suppliers and software programs that utilize disparate file formats and it’s a monumental task to get a new product out the door. UGS’s Teamcenter Visualization bridges the gaps in a company’s product development processes, creating a unified digital thread of design data, regardless of who needs it or what they need to do with it. Teamcenter Visualization is the industry standard for product design visualization and enables the world’s largest companies to leverage the talent and intellectual property of their extended enterprise across the globe.

Teamcenter on Tour
Catch an opportunity to gather information discussing the value and opportunities existing within the UGS Teamcenter products at the “Teamcenter on Tour” seminar coming to several major cities through the month of September. This is an opportunity to introduce interested individuals to the Teamcenter products at a high level, as well as hear from independent guest speakers on leveraging competitive advantage through the use of PLM products.
