Program Execution Management with Teamcenter

Project and Program Management ("PPM") with most tools available today is very capable in supporting planning and re-planning activities. What's been missing is the dimension most likely to reinvigorate the way your organization thinks about projects -- execution and performance management. Come to PLM World to learn about the managing the execution of programs with Teamcenter . . .

Adding three new elements to PPM in the PLM context enables a shift to view execution as the key to successful project management:

  1. Phase and Gate building blocks that integrate deliverables in Teamcenter
  2. Template-driven process automation using Teamcenter workflows
  3. Real-time performance management dashboards

Project managers need to pay attention because this changes the project manager role from “planner & reporting nanny” to “planner, facilitator and problem solver”. Entering this new world of transparency should be done with yours eyes open and with your complete attention. You maintain control of dashboard update frequency (once a day is common), and have less reporting to worry about, fewer task assignments to hand out -- because the project work is automatically delivered to the assignees via workflow at the earliest possible start time.

Come to PLM World Break-out session “Program Execution Management with Teamcenter” (Wednesday, May 4th @ 4:15pm) to learn more.
Also, you are invited to attend a training session called: “Teamcenter Project – Product Development and Launch with Phase-Gate Templates” (Thursday, May 5th @ 10:30am). Find out how to work with executable phase-gate templates.
