UGS Connection Expands to Meet the Growing Needs of our Members

PLM World and Siemens PLM Software representatives continue to work together to shape our conference into a world class event.

At the end of our 2007 conference in Long Beach, CA, our SIG leaders came together with the PLM World board of directors and numerous representatives from Siemens PLM Software. They had been listening to comments from attendees all week long and this was their opportunity to report on all they heard. The board then had meetings to see how we could address those comments, and make improvements to our 2008 conference. We believe the changes we are making will be a benefit to all attendees, and hopefully attract new ones.

Our overall conference, still named UGS Connection, will run from Sunday, 6/1 through Thursday, 6/2. We are now beginning the conference activities on Sunday in an effort to give you more networking and learning opportunities. There will also be an optional day of training on Friday that attendees can purchase if they wish. Please visit http://event.plmworld.org for more details on this.

Underneath the UGS Connection conference brand, we are expanding the sub-sections into 7 different threads. Those threads are as follows:

NX Connection. This was called User Connection last year, but is being updated to NX this year. This is a 4-day thread running Monday through Thursday.

Developer Connection. This is a 3-day thread running Monday through Thursday.

Teamcenter Connection. This is a 4-day thread running Monday through Thursday.

Tecnomatix Connection . This is a 4-day thread runningMondaythrough Wednesday

Management Connection. This is a 3-day thread running Monday through Wednesday.

Simulation Connection. This is a 3-day thread running Monday through Wednesday.

Velocity Connection. This is a 3-day thread running Monday through Wednesday.

Registration for the conference will begin March 3, 2008. You will choose which of these Connections you want to register for, however, this will not limit the presentations or training sessions you will be able to attend. It is simply a way to help facilitate networking among attendees based on your primary interests. All badges will include Sunday as your first day of the conference. The Management, Simulation and Velocity Connection badges will also have the option of purchasing an extra day for Thursday.
